Connect Claude

claude.ai and the Claude desktop app

Claude connects from Anthropic's cloud, so the web app and the desktop app share one connector: add it once and it works in both.

Add the connector

In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
Enter a name, for example Thndr, and the server URL https://mcp.thndr.app/mcp.
Click Connect. A Thndr sign-in page opens in your browser.
Sign in, tick the tools you want Claude to use, and press Allow.
Approve the request in the Thndr app on your phone. Check that the number on your phone matches the one on screen.

When the browser hands you back to Claude, you're connected.

Change which tools Claude can use

You choose the tools when you connect. To allow a different set, remove the Thndr connector in Settings → Connectors, add it again, and tick the tools you want.
